Brigham Health Center at Patriot Place Two-Level Fit-Out

This project is the fit-out of approximately 60,000sf of shell-core space in a new medical office building located within Foxborough’s Patriot Place. Occupying 2 levels of this new building, the project increased Brigham Health’s already significant presence in the area - adding 85 exam rooms. The program includes Primary Care, Behavioral Health, Dermatology, OBGYN, among other mixed medical specialties. With large floor-plates and the desire for a singular central waiting room for each level, the challenge throughout early design was to provide an efficient clinic and minimize staff travel distances. Clinics are laid out in fully functioning ‘pods’ with all staff/operational necessities provided in each for smaller groups of exam rooms. Smaller sub-groups of exam rooms are served by a single team room, allowing for quick transitions between desk work and patient facing work. These pods are organized along a single ‘main street’ corridor which benefits the patient flow from shared waiting room, check-in, and check-out services on each floor.
