140 The Fenway
Linea 5 was retained by Northeastern University to renovate this 101,000 square foot building, which was the former home of the Forsyth Institute, a dental research organization. The unique construction technique at the building - arched tile vaults - made the renovation and conversion to modern labs quite challenging.
The new facility houses the entire department of Biology’s research labs as well as a day lit work area in the original 2 story dental operatory, for NU’s Department of Engineering’s computer science group.
The project was built in 2012.
